I'm not sure which wiki you're looking at that says that.

The wiki at https://github.com/nfs-ganesha/nfs-ganesha/wiki said 2.8.0.2 and 2.7.4 are the current 2.8 and 2.7 releases. (I just updated it to 2.8.1.1 and 2.7.5)

I think we're nearly ready to say that 2.7.5 is the last release on the 2.7 branch.
