Hi all,

For many years we have been using IRC for community chat, however, of late, it has seen little use. It also has the disadvantage that you miss postings that occur while you aren’t signed on.

Does anyone have any thoughts on where we might move to?

The Connectathon/Bakeathon community uses Discord.

Google Chat and Slack are possible options.

It would be nice to have a place we can have more immediate community discussions than the weekly conference call or the e-mail list.
