I tried the patch and it works great, thanks Kaleb! I will use this as a workaround in the meantime.
I guess I won't be able to find why "FindPython" is not working but "FindPythonInterp" is, my knowledge in this area is too limited and it is a bit unfortunate as "FindPythonInterp" is advertised as deprecated.
Indeed and agreed. Ganesha-3 used FindPythonInterp and it was changed to FindPython in ganesha-4 for exactly that reason, but in the interest of getting the packages built I reverted.
Someone who knows cmake better than I do may be able to suggest something that works? I now remember that I did not forget to send it upstream; I had a similar conversation with DanG about this subject and it was decided to leave it as it is.
