I have pushed this branch https://github.com/nfs-ganesha/nfs-ganesha/compare/V5-stable...ffilz:nfs-ganesha:V5-stable with a proposal for V5.8. Note that right now it has the V6-dev.x commits in it to make it handy to see where the commits came from. The final version will have those removed.
