[Nfs-ganesha-support] Nfs-ganesha rgw move/rename files and folders

I was wondering since ganesha rgw is using rados directly, it would be 'easier' and more 'efficient' in renaming files and folders? I don’t get why files that are moved are copied and then deleted, I take it the file name is just some meta data stored somewhere that can be easily changed.
