There is community discussion of not doing V2.7.4 and instead getting V2.8.0 in the next
week or two. V2.8 is really mostly bug fixes with some relatively non-disruptive
features.

We would like to use released versions, so V2.7 is the one we are working
with. It is hard to work with moving targets!

Yes definitely products should use released versions. I think we could tag V2.8.0 in the
next week or two. There is so little in it that isn’t bug fixes I don’t see a reason for a
drawn out rc sequence.
