Hi. The short answer is that you can't. MDCACHE provides the handle cache, which ensures that obj_handle pointers are stable across calls, and implements refcounting. Without it, Ganesha would crash immediately. If you really want to, you can implement stable handle caching in your FSAL, and then make a local modification to Ganesha to not stack, but then you'll have to handle all the refcounting issues yourself.
