Hearing no dissent, 2.6.2 is now pushed and released.
Community¹ packages have been built for the following:
Fedora 28, 29: In Fedora's Updates or Updates-Testing repos. Use `dnf`
to install.
Fedora 27: at [1] (For FSAL_GLUSTER use glusterfs-3.12.9 or later from [5])
CentOS, RHEL: in CentOS Storage SIG. See [2]
Debian Stretch, Buster: at [1] (arm64 coming soon)
Ubuntu xenial, atomic, bionic, cosmic: at [3]
SuSE SLES12sp3, Leap42.3: at [4]
If you find bugs in nfs-ganesha or ntirpc itself, open a github issue in
the corresponding sub-projects at [6] or [7]. If you find bugs in the
packaging, e.g. missing files, open a github issue in [8] or [9]; if in
doubt as to whether it's a ganesha bug or a packaging bug, open the
issue in [6] or [7].
Notes: OpenSuSE Tumbleweed and Leap15 appear to have made the switch to
Python3, and we're not there yet. On SLES15 the NSL_LIBRARY is needed
for (lib)ntirpc, and probably needs Python3 too.
Our own
download.nfs-ganesha.org server is coming soon. Once it's ready
the Fedora 27 and Debian packages will be available there too and we
will stop using
download.gluster.org
¹Community packages are provided for convenience by the NFS-Ganesha
community. They have no official status or standing. If they work for
you and you find them useful then that's great.
